I have seen the original image at http://dreamboxupdate.com/opendreambox/2.5/stable/images/dm820/index.php and they don't have a vmlinuz.gz*, only the uncompressed kernel vmlinuz.bin* found at /boot. I have build a kernel for testing, see attachment. But the dm820 ist strange, because the kernel is only valid at the rootfs.tar.bz2 in /boot and twice as gz and bin?! The kernel.bin (flash image from OATV) is empty ?!
