As you can see at the thread, multiboot is using primary the flash, not from usb or hdd. USB/HDD can used for recording, backups or whatever you want.

as this vu multiboot topic is locked
thats why i created this thread.
what u want to say is that we can use only neutrino in flash of zero4k and not in any multiboot plugin?

As you can read at the Multiboot Thread, you can install up to 4 images at the flash. The multiboot plugin for E2 for switching the images is also at the thread. If you use an other multiboot plugin or multiboot system, then you must try by yourself if this working or not.

method will be same for neutrino installing in zero4k or some different?
for other images we copy vuplus folder to a usb and then power on receiver and wait for zero4k to finish instalation.
i love ur image as i used mostly fiew years ago in my sh4 box.
but not able to find any build for vu series.
so i m very excited to test this new release on my vu.
but also afraid that it can damage my vu flash if something went wrong?

Please read the Multiboot thread, there is all described how it works. You can not destroy the bootloader, flashing is always possible.
And: All actual Images are listet at the Portal.

It's described at the multiboot thread. Again per Google Translator from the link post #2:
Google Translator hat geschrieben:USB stick files for SingleBoot (standard)
- kernel_auto.bin -> Kernel of the desired image
- rootfs.tar.bz2 -> Root of the desired image
- initrd_auto.bin -> either the one of the desired image or the new one for "MultiBoot"
- splash_auto.bin -> optional, own picture
- reboot.update -> (0 byte dummy) - optional, automatic restart after update, not available for VU + ZERO 4K and VU + UNO 4K
- mkpart.update -> (0 byte dummy) - so that the partitions are created
- force.update -> (0 byte dummy) - Start the update directly from the USB stick, only required for VU + ZERO 4K and VU + UNO 4K as there is no power button

New USB stick files for MultiBoot, flash all partitions at the same time, even with different images
- kernel1_auto.bin -> new kernel for MultiBoot
- kernel2_auto.bin -> like 1 (also use the neutrino kernel for E2 and not the one supplied by E2, otherwise the boot process hangs!)
- kernel3_auto.bin -> like 1 (also use the neutrino kernel for E2 and not the one supplied by E2, otherwise the boot process hangs!)
- kernel4_auto.bin -> like 1 (also use the neutrino kernel for E2 and not the one supplied by E2, otherwise the boot process hangs!)
- rootfs1.tar.bz2 -> Root request image 1
- rootfs2.tar.bz2 -> Root request image 2
- rootfs3.tar.bz2 -> Root request image 3
- rootfs4.tar.bz2 -> Root request image 4
- initrd_auto.bin -> the new one for "MultiBoot"
- splash_auto.bin -> optional, own picture
- reboot.update -> (0 byte dummy) - optional, automatic restart after update, not available for VU + ZERO 4K and VU + UNO 4K
- mkpart.update -> (0 byte dummy) - so that the new partitions are created
- rootfs.tar.bz2 -> (0 byte dummy) - for flashing
- kernel_auto.bin -> (0 byte dummy) - for flashing
- force.update -> (0 byte dummy) - Start the update directly from the USB stick, only required for VU + ZERO 4K and VU + UNO 4K as there is no power button

Important
When switching to Multiboot for the first time, ALL partitions must be flashed with an image, ie all 4 rootfsX.tar.bz2 and kernelX_auto.bin must be available.
Only then is it possible to flash the individual partitions.

New USB stick files for MultiBoot, only flash one of the 4 partitions, here for partition 3
- kernel3_auto.bin -> new kernel for MultiBoot
- rootfs3.tar.bz2 -> desired image for partition 3
- initrd_auto.bin -> the new one for "MultiBoot"
- reboot.update -> (0 byte dummy) - optional, automatic restart after update, not available for VU + ZERO 4K and VU + UNO 4K
- rootfs.tar.bz2 -> dummy (0 byte) - to flash
- kernel_auto.bin -> dummy (0 byte) - to flash
- force.update -> (0 byte dummy) - Start the update directly from the USB stick, only required for VU + ZERO 4K and VU + UNO 4K as there is no power button

Important
If you want to go back to single operation, take the files of the image to be flashed, BUT you have to use my initrd_auto.bin when you switch to singleboot for the first time, otherwise the image will not start because the start area is still wrong (on multiboot and no longer existing or now invalid partition) is set.
Only then can you flash a single boot image as usual with the files provided by the image.

Nearly the same, see above for flashing a single multipart partition. You can also flash by telnet an other partition.

Scheint aber keine URLs direkt übersetzen zu können, oder?

falls eine url im text steht,
z.b. diese posting.php?mode=reply&f=127&t=2986
wird sie einfach übernommen und in den übersetzten text übertragen.

if there is an url in the text,
e.g. this posting.php?mode=reply&f=127&t=2986
it is simply copied and transferred to the translated text.
