stm24 image rev.3973 p171

Yesterday evening I installed available version 3973, what is based on stm24.
My DiSEqC switch with 10 inputs, protocol 1.1 is working nice, if used is "advanced" setting, commited inputs are off and uncommited inputs are numbered according to LNB-s connection to switch input.
There was no need to make any modification of satellites.xml file.
Everything is working fine, except one strange thing, what I can not understand at all:
the image is not receiving any transponer on Thor 1W satellite, what is transmitting HD channels. It would be that problem is in high SR 30 000 , what is used for several transponders, but also HD channels with lower SR will give announcement on screen - not possible to receive, SNR indicator is standing on 0.
In the same time all SD channels are perfectly OK.
For example I can see finnish MTV3 easily, but not the same program in high definition MTV3 HD. The same concerns YLE HD and YLE1 or YLE2 channels.
This problem is only for Thor satellite, on Astra 19,2E; 28,2E; 23,5E and Hotbird 13E the HD channels are possible to receive without any problem.
Can anyone to give some explanation to this problem?
Before yesterday installed stm24 image on the same tuner was installed image based on stm22, then there was no problems with any Thor satellite HD channels.
But there were another problems - sometimes USB HDD was not recognized for recording, usually after long work on one channel the picture freezed.
In every meaning stm24 rev.3973 seems to be a nice image, except these Thor 1W no receiving HD channels

Would there be any reason for me to install rev3997 ???
I have this image ready in my laptop, but good procedure of direct update of the image is not yet known for me.
Since now I have had always to reinstall with AAF Recovery tool the original 2.02 with FTP server and then as usual with install of the Neutrino image.
It seems not possible to use UFSxxx Multipart Installer V2.6 for this (as it is very convenient for e2 images), but hopefully I'm wrong and as novice concerning Neutrino, just I do not know all possible tricks

If you are able to read in german have a look to Wiki
If Neutrino is in Flash it is very simple for an online update, or the miniFLASH.
It is only necessary to have Mini or Maxi U-Boot installed for this method.

Thanks,
online update does not give me today a possibility to upgrade from existing 3973 to higher version
I have definitely quite old Mini1.3 installed, as MPI (Multipart Installer) 2.6 requires this.
So I will try this USB stick method.
What about my current settings, channel plan transfer and so on???
My settings seems to be so different compared usual Central Europe (No DiSEqC1.1, just 2 satellites, no Thor 0,8W or Sirius 4,8E...etc) setting...
Or do I need to start again from "clean install" ???

All settings can be saved by a backup:
BPanther Extras > Save / Restore Settings > Save all settings , then you may choose a directory ( key left, key down ) e.g /swap if you are using a swap stick, and OK for saving.
A backup_date.tar.gz file is then saved. The same way to restore: choose this file.

Thank You very much,
I will try to install this new image tomorrow morning.
Any idea, why Thor 0,8W satellite HD channels are not possible to receive???
Can someone try this receiving in Your location (I'm not so sure about Thor 0,8W field strength in Germany...) ?
BPanther seems to have a motorized system - so it would be very easy just to check?

I don´t know I have only astra 19,2. but have you tried in BP Extras > change module > high SR ? There are different possibilities for this, those one and then apply and reboot.

Is it REALLY so, that in case of recording there is no RED sign on VFD display that you are recording something???
Why, if it is so?
Sorry for my humble stupid questions, I'm really a starting dumbuser of Neutrino image

Sure if you are recording something, the red indicator in VFD goes on and off, allthough when you show the infobar: there is an indicator

OK, I see on and off red dot on infobar on the TV screen.
But VFD display on tuner is totally same quiet looking, not any red clock or whatever,... How can I switch on red recording signal on tuner VFD face???
Stupid question, I know. But this must be automatically installed in the image IMHO...
Sorry again for my humble opinions

@henkka:
Thor: If you have problems with high bitrates try the "v2" cx24116 and/or the highSR option at the Modules Menue.
VFD: There must be a flashing [REC] icon if you recording something. Are you sure you have a "UFS 910"?
How can I switch on red recording signal on tuner VFD face???
What do you mean? Sorry, but I don't know waht you mean.

Yeah if the image is new installed this function works.
In BP Extras > VFD Settings > VFD Icons off > must be set to off, then the icons are actvated

Yes, this was set by me "on" ...
How can a first time dumbuser to get known about such details...
But recording of the Thor 0,8W HD channels is totally another story.
Before writing here I tried all possible things - different available tuner drivers and of course SR30000 was switched on (if I did it correctly- I set it on 1... good example is this recording red sign example - BTW...who needs at all these to be switched off???)
Can You please try to receive any of Thor 0,8W HD channels and then confirm here that everything is OK ?

Recording sign on VFD is OK now
Indeed, now it works perfectly as it should.
It was my own stupid mistake caused of my not understanding of your intenions.
Honestly - I would recommend to delete this point of selection from the menu.
At all - why this selection should be necessary??? For enabling of making the wrong decisions?
My best regards,

Some user does not want the icons, so I have make a option. I know, the "logic" maybe strange "option disabled = off", but it has make the defaults easier or if /var/etc/miscsettings.conf is missing/corrupt.
