Es steht nun HIER ein erstes Testimage zur Verfügung. Die grundlegenden Funktionen sollten funktionieren.

Was jedoch nicht funktioniert - dürfte wie bei der DM820 sein, da beide ähnlich sind (kann es selbst nicht testen):
- HDMI-IN nicht möglich.
- Beim Versuch H265/HEVC Live-Streams oder auch lokal gespeicherter H265/HEVC Dateien abzuspielen hängt sich Neutrino intern in einer Schleife fest.

Sorry, but a datasheed does not help, because all kernel modules are closed source, no changes possible. The DM kernel modules have a bcm4506.ko, so the tuner should work if the module loaded. If the image flashed, lsmod in telnet and post the output. Not with an other image, it must be the actual neutrino version. All 18 modules should be loaded. And also the complete output of grep -r "" /proc/stb - should be copied to a txt file ( grep -r "" /proc/stb > /tmp/dm7080_proc.txt ) and attached.

I've forgot the cat /proc/bus/nim_sockets and ls -1r /dev/fb* - but all very strange, because all modules are correct loaded. The kernel config is the same, and I hope, he uses the right kernel ( cat /proc/version ). The Images only FLASH testet, not outside.

I think we need more users with a DM7080 to verify where's the different and if they have the same problems or not. I don't know what the problem could be.

nim_sockets: The (internal) tuner is OK, driver loaded and should work.
/dev/fb*: No other "framebuffer device", the lcd is also not here. OK. Maybe in a few days I have a test box and I can show it by myself.
kernel: It's an other kernel, not from my image - but should work.

The color Grautec LCD should now also work with GLCD. Fixed image rev20732 uploaded.

Front-Panel > Power LCD > off, then GraphlLCD > Display-Type > dm8000/dm7080_color and GraphLCD > on.

The file has only 822 lines (very old), which from the DDT GIT has 2601. That was also the reason why everything was removed from the DDT GIT except German and English.

Ich habe auch noch ne 7020 Hd und möchte fragen, ob aufgrund der Ähnlichkeit das 7080er Image laufen könnte bzw. angepasst werden könnte mit vertretbarem Aufwand ? Das würde mich riesig freuen, und ich würde mit meinen begrenzten Möglichkeiten mithelfen und testen. Besten Dank !

Genau das hatte ich befürchtet, als ich das mit den 4 DM Boxen gemacht habe, wobei die DM900 und DM920 wirklich gute Boxen sind.

Andere DM werden aber nicht kommen, zumal es alleine von der DM7020 3 Varianten gibt (v1, v2 mit 512 MB und v2 mit 1 GB Flash), wobei die Flashimages der v1 und v2 wohl auch unterschiedlich sind. Ebenso ist es mit der DM500 und DM800se, auch hier gibts v1 und v2.

Eine alte DM800 ist im übrigen nicht mehr baubar mit aktueller GIT Basis, da streikt bereits Busybox wegen dem alten Kernel 2.6.18 und setzt sich dann bei den anderen Sachen der Basis fort. Das hatte ich mal probiert weil ich die DM800 noch rumliegen habe - mal vor Jahren geschenkt bekommen. Schade, daß nie ein richtiges Update auf Kernel 2.6.3x gekommen ist, das wäre baubar wie bei SH4. Gab zwar mal kurzzeitig ein Kernel 2.6.30, wurde aber wohl nie mit den nötigen Kernelsourcen veröffentlicht.


EDIT: Übrigens sind die DM7020 und DM7080 keineswegs ähnlich, die sind komplett anders. Geht schon bei der CPU dabei los - und somit auch den Kernel Modulen - und endet beim alten NFI Flashformat wie bei der DM800/DM8000, wobei DM7020 v1 und DM7020 v2 auch unterschiedliche Flashformate benutzen. Die DM7020 ist also eher der DM8000 ähnlich.
